Take several downloaded areas
Download the areas you need in Boundara on iPhone before leaving coverage. The Watch lists the maps it has received, with the area containing your current position first when GPS is available. Select a parcel, turn the Digital Crown to zoom, and drag the map to inspect a different part of it. The offline view keeps the downloaded imagery, parcel outline, markers and your current GPS position together.
Check the parcel without taking out your phone
Open any synced saved parcel to see its reference, area and the cadastral details available from its official source. The current parcel and nearby markers are easy to reach. You can check coordinates, GPS accuracy, heading and distance to a marker while on site. The amount of descriptive detail varies by country and parcel.
Record what happens on the land
Start or stop a GPS track, save a point, or record a short voice note from the Watch. Observations are kept locally and transferred to the paired iPhone when connectivity permits. Check the sync status on the Watch; open the field notebook on iPhone to review and organize the result.
Know what needs the iPhone
Download maps and official parcel information on iPhone while online. Identifying a new, unsaved parcel from the Watch asks the paired iPhone to query the official cadastral service, so it requires a reachable phone and network. Previously synced downloaded maps remain usable without mobile coverage. GPS accuracy and map detail vary with the device, reception, country and downloaded area.
Get ready before you go
- On iPhone, save your parcels and download the areas you will visit.
- Open Boundara on the paired Apple Watch and allow time for the maps and parcel library to sync.
- Open a downloaded map on the Watch while still connected and check that the area you need is present.
Boundara is an independent field tool. Displayed boundaries and GPS positions are approximate and do not replace a survey or an official certificate. Get help with syncing or offline maps.
