Prepare before leaving mobile coverage
Check the country coverage and retrieve the parcel while connected. Save the result and confirm it can be reopened before travelling. A blank result may mean unsupported coverage or a temporarily unavailable source; it does not prove that no parcel exists.
Record the parcel identifier, source and retrieval date alongside your field notes. Compare the map with what you observe without treating GPS or a drawn line as a surveyed boundary.
Step by step
- Choose a location. Open the map and tap a parcel. A new official lookup requires connectivity.
- Check the outline. Compare the geometry with the surrounding terrain. Search boxes and broad map extents are not parcel boundaries.
- Prepare for fieldwork. Save the result with its source and retrieval date. With Field, download an offline area before leaving coverage.
- Check additional details. Use the BEV Katasterservice for parcel number, area, land uses and legal status when needed.
Source and available details
- Source: Austria’s Bundesamt für Eich- und Vermessungswesen (BEV), public cadastral map and Katasterservice.
- The BEV service displays parcel number, area, uses and legal status, among other data; owner details are not publicly shown there.
- The fields Boundara itself can show depend on the retrieved dataset. The parcel view identifies its source and retrieval date.

Honest limits
Read this before relying on a result.
- A map outline and GPS position do not replace a survey or legal boundary determination.
- An empty result can reflect coverage gaps or a temporarily unavailable service.
- Boundara is independent of BEV and is not an official authority.
Questions
Is the BEV service free?
Yes. BEV provides its public map service without access restrictions.
Does Boundara show owners?
No. Boundara does not provide ownership information.
Can I find a new parcel offline?
A new official lookup needs connectivity. Previously saved records and completed area downloads can be opened offline.
