Prepare before leaving mobile coverage
Check the country coverage and retrieve the parcel while connected. Save the result and confirm it can be reopened before travelling. A blank result may mean unsupported coverage or a temporarily unavailable source; it does not prove that no parcel exists.
Record the parcel identifier, source and retrieval date alongside your field notes. Compare the map with what you observe without treating GPS or a drawn line as a surveyed boundary.
Step by step
- Open the location. Tap the desired place on the map. A new official parcel lookup needs connectivity.
- Check the parcel. Compare the identifier and map geometry with the surroundings. Displayed measurements are approximate field aids.
- Prepare for weak coverage. Save the parcel and check its source and retrieval date. Field can download an area ahead of time.
- Verify the boundary. Use National Land Survey documents and physical markers for precise or legally significant boundary questions.
Dataset and source
- Source: National Land Survey of Finland INSPIRE Cadastral Parcels (CP) interface.
- The INSPIRE view and download services are open and free to use.
- Boundara shows available public geometry and its source and retrieval date; it does not provide ownership records.
Official source
Honest limits
Read this before relying on a result.
- The National Land Survey states that exact parcel divisions must be determined from survey documents and in the field.
- GPS position, map outlines and in-app measurements are not a legal boundary survey.
- An empty result does not prove there is no parcel; the source may be temporarily unavailable.
Questions
Can I open a saved parcel without a connection?
Yes. Saved records open offline. A new official lookup needs a connection.
Does Boundara show the owner?
No. Boundara does not provide ownership information.
Is the displayed border exact?
Not for legal use. Verify precise boundaries from official documents and on the ground.
